king dino would be awesome

there's nothing "terrible" about having your king be a dinosaur. this is the only major flaw in Mario Brothers 3.

shameless plug

so i'm right in the middle of a big fight with Piston Honda and in between the first and second round, i ask doc (my manager) for some advice (boxing advice, obviously) and get this, he says to me "Join the Nintendo Fun Club today! Mac."

Are you kidding me?! I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF A BOXING MATCH, DOC! also, why did you exclaim "Join the Nintendo Fun Club today!" and then add "Mac." as it's own sentence? you're a terrible manager and a weird human, doc.

mouse pad? more like ... impossible to draw with thing

my friends patrick and andrea live with me now. that's fun. one fun thing about it is they brought a super nintendo with Mario Paint. i remember Mario Paint very well because it was my first encounter with a mouse & mouse pad. i was excited because i found computers interesting and the mouse & mouse pad seemed the way of the future. however, i quickly became frustrated with the equipment. "stupid," "bullcrap," and "piece of junk," were a few of my initial reviews of the new technology.

now i'm an old pro with the mouse & mouse pad. it just goes to show you: kids are dumb, whiny little jerks who don't know anything.

tabloid teasers: best board game ever?

last night, in a far off land called "monrovia, CA," i played a game called Tabloid Teasers. never heard of it? well, it was released in 1991 by Pressman Toys, the fine people who brought you such classic board games as Michigan Rummy, Giant Pick Up Sticks, Deluxe Wood Michigan Rummy, and Black Heritage Trivia Game (for the record, in this writer's opinion, there is nothing trivial about Black Heritage).

here's how tabloid teasers works: you get part of a real tabloid headline. but part of it is missing. so you fill in the blank, by writing your answer on a tiny piece of paper and handing it to the reader (each round, one person takes a break from writing in order to read the other headlines) so the reader reads all the fake headlines, AS WELL AS the real one. the writers each guess which one the real headline is. if you get it right, you move one space. if someone guesses your headline, you get to move another space.

sound like a stupid game? it is. but if you're playing with hilarious people, it's the best board game ever. seriously.
